OVERVIEW
This fast paced one day, hands-on course will focus on teaching Chris’ advanced techniques for improving denture aesthetics.

As all prosthetic technicians and CDTs know, it can be  challenging to make removable prosthetics, which look truly natural. These difficulties become even greater for partial  dentures, with the need to match denture teeth and denture bases with natural teeth and soft tissue.

This course will help dental technicians and CDTs to enhance their skills and learn new techniques for creating truly aesthetic dentures with natural looking teeth and soft tissue. Delegates will learn how to characterise denture teeth and gingival tissue to meet the expectation of patients for extremely lifelike  removable prosthesis.

Chris will teach easy and practical techniques which can be  immediately adapted and integrated into daily lab work.  Delegates will learn a greater understanding of how composites and light-cured stains can be used to make removable  prosthesis look more natural. They will also gain confidence in their improved ability to produce better dentures aesthetics, for which they can charge discerning customers appropriately.

Presented in a friendly, informal, and practical way, this course will demystify the work of denture ‘gurus’ with step-by-step, easy to understand, hands-on training.

Aims, Objectives & Anticipated Outcomes
This one day course will provide the participant with a practical introduction into customisation of dentures, from tooth selection and set ups to composite build up, finishing and polishing. Teaching will be focused on allowing delegates to incorporate it immediately into their daily laboratory work.

By the end of the course each participant will be able to:
> better understand gingival landmarks and how they relate to composite layering
> better understand tooth characterisation and caries classifications.
> learn how to select and characterise high-quality denture teeth.
